- How To Print Screen On A Mac Keyboard Running Windows
Hi there,
I've just bought a MacBook Pro with Touch bar and installed Windows 10 using bootcamp. Everything works fine as in my previous generation Macbook Pro apart from taking screenshots using what it would be in a Windows Laptop the Print Screen key
- You can type with the virtual keyboard in any location on your screen: just click within the desired text box/area and then click on the virtual keyboard, one key at a time, to type. You can also move the virtual keyboard around as necessary to keep it out of the way. It will float on top of your other windows.
- On a Windows keyboard you press this and on an Apple keyboard you press this and then lists the various buttons. Specifically to my issue it lists that in Windows you press PrintScreen and on Mac you press Shift+Cmd+3. That is not helpful in this instance.
In my old Macbook Pro I used to press Fn + Shift + F11 to take a screenshot of the window, this is no longer working in the new Macbook Pro with Touch Bar.
To Take a Whole Screen If you have an Apple Pro keyboard, you need to press F14 key to take screenshots of the whole screen, or if you’re using an Apple Wireless keyboard or MacBook keyboard (including Macbook Pro, Air), press “Fn + Shift + F11” keys combinations. To Take an Active Window. In the Microsoft Remote Desktop app on Mac OS X (from the Mac app store), I can't figure out how to take a screenshot. The alternative remote desktop keyboard shortcuts that worked on older versions of remote desktop (like Ctrl+Alt+Plus Key(+)) don't seem to work on this version.
Any idea if this is even possible/configurable?
Thanks

Installed Windows on Macbook Pro using BootCamp?
Having trouble finding PrintScreen
button in BootCamp? Macs don’t have a Print Screen
button like their Windows PC keyboard but there are some shortcuts which you can use to perform the same task.
- Capture Full Screen:
fn + Shift + F11
- Capture Front Screen Window:
fn + Option + Shift + F11
Other Option:
- Open Control Panel
- Go to Ease of Access Center
- Turn on On-Screen Keyboard
